Sexual health is an important part of physical and mental health as well as your emotional and social wellbeing. It's important to take care of your sexual health and to talk about sex and relationships with your loved ones.

Our sexual health information service provides a wealth of information on sexual health, sexually transmitted infections, contraception, planning a pregnancy, unplanned pregnancy and abortion. To visit the service (provided by the FPA) visit sexwise.fpa.org.uk.

Over 100,000 people live with HIV in the UK, however an estimated 1 in 5 are unaware of their infection. Taking an HIV test in the only way to find out if you have HIV.

If you have HIV, early diagnosis will mean that your treatment will have better outcomes, and the risk of passing the infection on to others will be reduced.

Free HIV testing is available across England, find your nearest testing venue. Alternatively, free HIV home sampling kits are available in some areas in England.

If you would like to talk to someone about a sexual health issue, you can call the national sexual health helpline free on 0300 123 7123. Your call will be treated with sensitivity and in strict confidence. The Sexual Health Helpline is open from 9am-8pm, Monday-Friday.
