Scope’s Local People Programme

SCOPE

Our Local People programme, supported by People's Health Trust, gives disabled people, their families and unpaid carers the time and space to think about what issues matter to them in their own local community, and the opportunity to take action on them together.

Regular groups are meeting in certain locations. Small project groups have already taken forward their ideas for local activities and action. You may want to join something that is already happening, or start something new. Examples of projects so far include a regular accessible bingo evening, a beach wheelchair at Hunstanton and an awareness project for invisible disabilities.

If you are aged between 12 and 65 and disabled, caring for a disabled child, or an unpaid carer in the Kings Lynn or Downham Market area of West Norfolk, it’s for you. We can help you to meet regularly with other people, or make changes happen in your local community. It's also a great opportunity to become a volunteer.

Pop along to one of our Get Togethers, we meet on the last Tuesday of the month in Downham Market and the last Thursday of the month in King’s Lynn. For more information, contact your local Coordinator.
