Royal British Nurses' Association
The Royal British Nurses' Association (RBNA) administers a number of charities for sick and disabled nurses. These are:
- The Trained Nurses Annuity Fund (Registered charity no. 209883)
- The Ethel Mary Fletcher Fund (Registered charity no. 209887)
- The Helena Benevolent Fund (Registered charity no. 209885)
- The Settlement Fund
To qualify for assistance, applicants must be trained nurses who have completed at least three years' post-graduate work. Referrals are received from Care of the Elderly, Age Concern, Citizen Advice Bureau, Anchor Care and Repair Benefit Agency, other nursing organisations and SSAFA. The Helena Benevolent Fund is exclusively for the benefit of members of the Association.
