Cystic Fibrosis Trust

CF Trust

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only charity in the UK fighting for a Life Unlimted by cystic fibrosis for the people who live with it.

The Trust is committed to funding and supporting cutting-edge research to find new and better treatments for cystic fibrosis.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) affects people with the condition in a huge range of ways throughout their lives. It’s hard to paint a picture that illustrates the 10,000 different stories of the CF community, but we can provide you with information on the different aspects of life that can be affected by CF below, from new diagnosis to planning for end of life.

  • New diagnosis
  • Pre-school and primary school
  • Secondary school
  • Leaving school
  • Family planning
  • Work
  • Growing older
  • Planning for end of life
  • Bereavement
  • Cross-infection
  • Festivals

Managing CF and the enormous treatment burden it brings can be expensive. We support people with cystic fibrosis and their families every step of the way by providing a number of different grants, support with applying for benefits and information about prescription charges. In this section we also provide information about other possible options that may help to ease the financial burden of CF, including how to increase your income, health care benefits, reducing water rates and help with travel costs.
