British Red Cross - Support at Home

About the Support at Home service

The British Red Cross provides time limited care and support to anyone over the age of 18, who lives in the Kings Lynn and West Norfolk area. This could be someone who has been in hospital or someone in the community who has had an accident, illness or bereavement. The service will help give them the confidence to continue their daily lives.

The Red Cross helps prevent unnecessary hospital admissions, enables timely discharge and reduces readmission.

The British Red Cross needs volunteers to assist our Support at Home service in Kings Lynn and West Norfolk. Can you spare a few hours to volunteer for your local community?

Volunteering for the British Red Cross is a great way to learn new skills and make a difference to people’s lives. As a Support at Home volunteer, you will have the rewarding experience of helping people who need extra support at home following an illness or injury.

How do I apply?

If you would like to become a volunteer or find out about what is involved you can apply online at: or alternatively use the contact details on the back of this leaflet and ask the Service Coordinator for further details. We welcome people from all backgrounds and sections of the community.
