The Sawyer Trust
The Sawyer Trust helps women over the age of 50 who are in need because of financial hardship, sickness or poor health. It makes grants to cover a range of needs, for example, funding removal costs, paying telephone bills, buying cookers and fridges and settling outstanding rent. Typically grants do not exceed £500. The Trust does not pay cash directly to applicants.
Applications must be supported by an accredited third party, such as Citizens Advice Bureau, a housing association or other charitable organisation that is recognised by the Trust.
