Lasting Powers of Attorney

A lasting Power of Attorney is a legal document that lets you appoint someone (known as an 'attorney') to make decisions on your behalf.

There are two types of lasting Power of Attorney:

  • Health and welfare
  • Property and financial affairs

You can chose to make either or both types of Power of Attorney. For more information see the UK Government website below.
