The Salespeople's Charity
The Salespeople's Charity provides help for retired, former or current salespeople who cannot support themselves or their families due to illness, redundancy or low income/pension. It also gives financial assistance to their widows/widowers or dependants.
To help its beneficiaries it can assist by awarding a number of financial benefits, such as:
- Regular annuities
- Christmas payments
- Birthday payments
- Aid call
- TV licences
- Food hampers
- Urgent, critical one-off payments
- Respite breaks
To qualify for help a recipient should be a UK resident and have been employed as a sales representative or agent (male or female) for a minimum period of five years for the purpose of securing orders and/or promoting business, selling to the trade (not the public), employed for six months in each of those years.
