Special Olympics Norfolk
Special Olympics is a global organisation that provides year-round sports training and competition to nearly 4 million children and adults with intellectual disabilities in almost 200 countries. It is recognised by the International Olympic Committee as the third member of the Olympic family, but unlike paralympics which is for elite disabled sportspeople, it is for all abilities and all ages.
Special Olympics provides people with intellectual disabilities opportunities to realise their potential, develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience friendship.
Special Olympics Norfolk provides sports coaching and competition to people with learning disabilities. Our current sports programmes include Athletics, Artistic Gymnastics, Alpine Skiing, Boccia, Cricket, Football and Swimming. Details of the training times and venues for each of the sports are set out in the link below.
