Giving Otters an edge at WWT Welney Wetland Centre
An evening talk by Cliff Carson, about his work to help the population of otters in the Fens.
Following 30 years managing the Ouse Washes Reserve at Manea, Cliff Carson spent 12 years working for the Middle Level Commissioners carrying out conservation work for riparian species on Middle Level waterways, that included otters and water voles.
Otters are thinly but widely distributed throughout the Fens but rarely seen. Cliff will present video clips of otters in some of the 80 holts he has constructed and at other sites in the waterways of the Fens. Signs of what to look for when surveying for otters will also be covered.
All welcome. Funds raised go towards WWT's work at Welney.
