Volunteering for Remap

Remap is a national charity working through local groups of skilled volunteers to help people with disabilities achieve independence and a better quality of life. Its volunteers design, make or modify equipment when nothing suitable is available through mainstream sources.
Typically, its volunteers will have a background in mechanical engineering or they might be electrical and electronics experts, carpenters and others skilled with wood, people with a passion for model engineering, and, more generally, people with a real talent for making things well. People with health professional knowledge, such as occupational therapists and physiotherapists, are also welcome as volunteers.
