The Merle Boddy Centre
A warm and friendly Social Day Care Service for people affected by mental health problems including dementia and other disabilities in Swaffham and the surrounding area.
The Merle Boddy Centre is comfortable and well furnished and has a warm welcoming atmosphere. All of the facilities are accessible to all our members. It is open Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm.
We have a small enclosed and secure garden area with seating for our members to enjoy. A perfect place for relaxation and social interaction. Members are also encouraged to take an interest in helping to look after the flowers and shrubs in the area.
We have a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who care for the needs of all our service users. All staff attend ongoing professional development training.
We offer a varied programme of stimulating activities e.g. arts and crafts, reminiscence sesions, fun cooking, gentle exercise, quizzes, gardening, music and song, and two-course fresh home-style meals cooked on the premises.
