Holme-next-the-Sea Society of Bell Ringers

*Bell ringing practices have been suspended until further notice because of the coronavirus epidemic.

The Society of Bell Ringers regularly ring the bells for services at St. Mary's Church in the small village of Holme-next-the-Sea which lies on the north west coast of Norfolk on the edge of The Wash.

The Society welcomes new members and is always pleased to see new ringers including those with experience and newcomers wishing to learn. A membership fee applies.

Our weekly practice session is held on Tuesdays between 2pm and 4pm. All visitors are most welcome to join us but it is always best to make contact with the Tower Captain before planning a visit just in case the practice has to be cancelled.

Church services are held on the first and third Sundays each month and start at 9.15am. When there are five Sundays in the month we sometimes have a special service on the fifth Sunday starting at 10am.

We start ringing thirty minutes before each Service, except for any Service during Holy Week when there is no ringing. Visitors are welcome to ring with us but, because of the varied Service times, it is adviseable to check before you arrive that we will be ringing.
