The Cancer Community Chest

The Cancer Community Chest is a small registered charity situated in Brundall and run by volunteers. Its purpose is to help people who are suffering from cancer or similarly life-threatening or debilitating illnesses by giving grants to help with the burden of costs associated with such illnesses.

Grants may be available for outings or short recuperative breaks after prolonged treatment or aggressive surgery, or towards transport expenses for attending treatment sessions or specialised equipment if these are not available from the NHS or through the Benefits system.

However it is not possible for the Charity to pay for everyday living expenses, household goods, utility bills or car maintenance.

A board of Trustees meets every two months to consider applications, and information given is confidential.”
