Purfleet Pantry

A new service helping to make sure people have a healthy diet and can make nutritious meals. Chef, Tom Kelly has opened “The Purfleet Pantry”.

Each client can join as a member and they receive a membership card and access to weekly food packages, recipe ideas and diet and nutrition tips from Tom.

Tom says “The Pantry was introduced to clients of the trust who are on low income. It helps them manage their money and choose what they want every week. For £2.50 they get up to £15 worth of food ranging from the essentials such as tea, coffee, tins of beans or soups to fresh vegetables and eggs. The monies from the pantry goes back into supporting clients and will be used to add extra stock to the pantry and provide cooking lessons.”

We would be very grateful for any old egg boxes, takeaway containers, old carrier bags and paper bags that you may have at home to use for the pantry. If you have anything you would like to donate please either pop in and see Tom.
