Royal British Legion and North Norfolk Railway Volunteering Scheme
The Royal British Legion and North Norfolk Railway (NNR) have launched a joint referral scheme for ex-Service personnel that will offer voluntary opportunities in a range of voluntary positions.
The scheme is a collaboration between the Legion and NNR that will offer recent service leavers and veterans a chance to gain new skills and meet like-minded people.
The voluntary scheme aims to provide roles that will offer a route into new areas for those referred, including engineering, gardening, catering, teaching carpentry and much more. All skill sets and ages are welcome and full training will be given to volunteers.
The Legion’s East Anglia and Essex Welfare Team will work in collaboration with the NNR to assess a suitable volunteering position for each candidate referred. This will take into consideration the demands placed on the volunteer and cater towards any specific requirements and training needed.
