Part of Care and Repair, the Handyperson Service can assist west Norfolk residents with a disability or debilitating health issue, to remain living independently for longer. Work covered includes fitting grab rails or bannisters, fitting smoke or carbon monoxide alarms, improving lighting, and changing taps and flush handles to make them easier to use. Equipment such as half steps, bath boards or perching stools can also be provided.
For anyone experiencing memory loss we can provide low level dementia measures including; signage, colour differentiation, sensor lighting and memory clocks.
All handypersons, are employed by the Borough Council, and have undergone the relevant safeguarding checks, giving you reassurance and peace of mind when they are visiting your property.
Up to £300 of grant funding may be available, to be eligible for this funding you must be a west Norfolk resident and have a disability or health condition. Please contact us for more details.
