Alzheimer's Society

"Leading the fight against dementia"

Alzheimer's Society is a membership organisation, which works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia. Many of its 20,000 members have personal experience of dementia, as carers, health professionals or people with dementia themselves, and their experiences help to inform the Society's work.

The Society publishes a number of factsheets covering a wide range of dementia-related topics. The most popular topics are also available in audio on CD and tape.

It also operates a helpline service offering information, support, guidance and signposting to other appropriate organisations.

The King's Lynn & West Norfolk Local Service provides advice, information, carers groups and support for people living in West Norfolk. It will also deliver Dementia Friends training sessions to community groups and clubs.

Some services in the North Norfolk area are organised by the Norfolk Locality Office at Norwich.
