Swaffham Hospital Buddy Transport Service

The Hospital Buddy Service is a non-emergency transport service for people over the age of 65 who live in Swaffham and the surrounding villages. We provide this service with volunteer drivers who have completed an induction training programme and are DBS checked. They provide a bespoke door-to-door transport service which is safe, comfortable and timely, supporting the client throughout.

Referrals are made in the first instance by GP's, Hospital Clinics, Community Nursing teams and other allied Health Care Practitioner. Please ask your practitioner if you are eligible for referral to this service.

We can support a client at various appointments including the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital & The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn.

We have a drop in at the Community Centre in Swaffham for anyone interested in volunteering the first Friday of each month between the hours of 10.30 - 12.30.
