Docking Heritage Group

The Docking Heritage Group was formed in 2007 as part of Norfolk County Council’s ARCH (Archiving Rural Community History) project. It is a busy and active group, currently with more than 40 members, that researches, records and presents the history and heritage of Docking.

The Heritage Room, within the village hall, allows the group to have a permanent display for its work. The room is open most Wednesday mornings between 10am and 12 noon, including through the winter months, when some of our members will be on hand to help you with any queries you may have and show you our collection of photos, maps and other documents.

A Community Information Point can also be found in the room which is available during the room opening hours.

The group meets regularly throughout the year and also organises activities and events, such as an annual two day exhibition which attracts around 200 visitors each year, along with occasional social events or days out.  Meetings are generally held on the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm.

New members are very welcome.
