Gamekeepers' Welfare Trust

The Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust (GWT) supports gamekeepers, stalkers and ghillies, and their immediate dependants, who are in ill health, disabled, or elderly and suffering hardship. Grants are awarded for various needs, such as:

• Residential home top-up fees
• Mobility aids
• Home adaptations
• Household appliances
• Oil and electricity grants

Applicants must have depended on gamekeeping for a substantial period of their career, however long ago that might have been. Dependants may also apply.

The GWT helpline is a key part of the service providing a confidential listening service with information and support on a wide variety of issues including health, retirement, redundancy, housing and employment issues.
