Ashill and Holme Hale Garden Club

Our Garden Club was formed in July 2004 at Ashill Community Centre by ten enthusiastic gardeners who formed a committee and established aims. It is good to know that most of those founder members remain with the Club – and that the £6 annual subscription is still the same!

Our membership has both increased in number (currently we have about 90 members), and also in geographical scope, to include not only Ashill and Holme Hale but also Necton, Swaffham and Watton.

We meet on the fourth Thursday of each month at 2.30pm at Holme Hale Pavilion, School Road, Holme Hale, IP25 7PD. The village is situated about five miles south-east of Swaffham.

We regularly invite visiting speakers to talk about plants, gardening and related topics. At meetings we run competitions, a raffle and plant sales. The highlight of our year is the Flower Show which takes place in June. We have two coach outings a year and often two afternoon visits to local gardens. Our Christmas Party is in December and our Annual Lunch in January.

Membership for the year is just £6, with visitors charged £2 a meeting, and we can guarantee you a warm welcome and some delicious catering.

If you are interested in joining please contact Chairman David Priestley on 01760 723260 or Secretary Susan Luff on 01760 440521 – or just come along to our next meeting.
