Alveva Quilters
Alveva Quilters, we are Feltwell's very own patchwork and quilting group. We named ourselves after the aristocratic medieval lady who appears on our village sign.
Before Covid the group meetings often included a speaker along with a show and tell for members to share projects and ask for advice.
Unfortunately post Covid numbers fell as several committee members had moved away and elderly members were reluctant to travel in the evenings so the difficult decision was made to close. However after a few months past members decided to reboot the group and meetings started again. The decision was made to move the meetings to the afternoon and the format was changed. We plan to have a couple of speakers a year but most meetings will be sit and sew sessions. Some members have given a presentation of their work and their quilting journey and also members have demonstrated a craft project for members to make in the meeting.
All are welcome to come and join us, you don’t have to be a prolific stitcher, just having an interest in needlework and sharing that interest with others is all that is needed. Our meetings are a great opportunity to meet with other stitchers, share ideas, get help and inspiration……….. and there is usually cake.
Alveva Quilters meet at the Royal British Legion Hall in Feltwell on the last Tuesday of the month from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. We do not meet in December.
Please get in touch to confirm the date of the next meeting before attendance.
