Ward Activity Volunteer Opportunities – King’s Lynn and Swaffham
Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust are looking for friendly, compassionate and conscientious individuals who would enjoy facilitating a a weekly activity group for two hours each week with patients in the West Norfolk area, providing companionship, an opportunity to socialise and stimulation.
We are looking for volunteers who:
- Can set up and lead an activity for a group of patients or on a 121 basis, e.g. a reminiscence group, puzzles and crosswords, jigsaws or reading the newspapers
- Enjoy sharing conversations with people from a wide range of backgrounds
- Are good listeners
- Are friendly and considerate
- Are able to spend 2 hours a week visiting a unit in King’s Lynn or Swaffham
This is a really rewarding role and a fantastic opportunity to support people in your local community, gain experience and develop your existing skills. Full training will be given and you will be supported throughout your time as a volunteer. Travel expenses are reimbursed.
