Save The Blue Bell

The campaign to save Stoke Ferry's last pub.

The Campaign and its Committee was formed in January 2020 by local people who want to secure the future of the Blue Bell as a community asset by becoming a café/pub which connects to all sections of our village.

The Committee is seeking new members with Legal and PR/Marketing Experience. We are also running a series of regular public activities and volunteers ‘on the day’ are most welcome.

A working Committee was formed in February 2020 and has now registered the Campaign as STOKE FERRY COMMUNITY ENTERPRISES LIMITED and we are also Registered with the Financial Conduct Authority as a Community Benefit Society, Number: RS008415

We have obtained a £2,500 grant from the Plunkett Foundation (More Than A Pub) and we will use part of this money to have a survey carried out on the pub. We will then be in a position to make an informed offer to the current owner. We are also applying to the Plunket Foundation for a further £5,000 grant and a £5,000 loan. If our future offer for the pub is accepted by the owner, we will then launch a share offer to the wider community - so watch this space!
