Grassroots Suicide Prevention
We are a small Brighton based charity with a simple but powerful goal: that no one should have to contemplate suicide alone. We work locally and nationally with communities, organisations and individuals, helping them to become ready, willing and able to effectively support someone at risk of suicide.
Suicide is a community health problem
- Thoughts of suicide are understandable, complex and personal
- Suicide can be prevented
- Help-seeking is encouraged by open, direct and honest talk about suicide
As part of our community work, we have secured funding and developed various projects that fit our charity's core beliefs about suicide and suicide prevention. These include the 'Stay Alive' app. This is the UK's first suicide prevention mobile app and was instigated, researched and designed by Grassroots.
