Campaign to End Loneliness

Campaign to End Loneliness

The Campaign to End Loneliness is a network of national, regional and local organisations and people working together through community action, good practice, research and policy to create the right conditions to reduce loneliness in later life. It was launched in 2011, is led by five partner organisations and works alongside 1400 supporters, all tackling loneliness in older age.

It aims to reduce loneliness in older age by creating the right policy and funding conditions for groups and individuals working to address the issue. It works with a wide range of organisations to seek the following change:

  • Higher quality, and more effective, services and activities
  • Better use of existing support, especially by the most lonely
  • More commissioning and/or development of services and activities targeting loneliness
