Freebridge Community Housing

Freebridge Community Housing is the largest provider of housing in West Norfolk, set up in 2006 to receive the transfer of homes from the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.

Tenants voted significantly in favour of the new organisation which would bring their homes up to a modern, decent standard.

Today, we own and manage around 6,800 homes across West Norfolk, making a difference to thousands of customers within communities across an area of almost 550 square miles.

We have an annual turnover of £30m and employ well over 200 people, including our own Property Services team.

Over the last 14 years, there have been numerous achievements, not least delivering our tenants’ promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living.

Our award-winning Hillington Square project, designed by Hemingway Design, is bringing transformation to a 1960s estate in King’s Lynn. Not only has this project attracted a number of awards, it has featured in the Department for Communities and Local Government estate regeneration national strategy.

We are proud to have been able to make an even bigger impact through moving into placeshaping which has seen us bring crucial facilities for some of our communities.

We have also made a difference to our communities through the Freebridge Community Fund, which has seen us invest £50k in local good causes and projects.

We know that it is our employees who are our biggest asset and we are committed to empowering our people to be the best they can be. We appeared on the Times Top 100 not-for-profit list three years in a row.

And, we are a well-managed organisation, as emphasised by maintaining the highest ratings possible in a judgement published by the Regulator of Social Housing.
