Hilgay Silver Band & Training Band
The Hilgay Silver Band perform regularly at events in their local area and are available for bookings throughout the year.
Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings between 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
in the band's own band room opposite the war memorial in Hilgay.
This friendly brass band based in West Norfolk welcomes new players of all
standards and ages whatever your favoured instrument.
We also have a Training Band that meets at 18:45 on Wednesdays.
The Hilgay Silver Band runs a training band under the direction of Brian Doy.
The training band is mainly but not exclusively for youngsters. Tuition is free and we will even lend you an instrument.
You don't need to have any prior knowledge or experience of reading music or playing an instrument. As long as you are keen to learn and practice we will help you to learn to play. Many of our players have been taught entirely by the band, progressing through our training band and then becoming part of the main band.
If you wish to find out more you are very welcome to come and meet us at rehearsals.
Please note that during December we may well be out carolling on rehearsal nights.
