The Nar Valley Ornithological Society (NarVos)

The Nar Valley Ornithological Society (NarVOS) brings together people interested in birdwatching in an area covering the River Nar Valley from King’s Lynn to Dereham and including Downham Market, Watton, Swaffham and Fakenham.

The Society organises an extensive programme of indoor and field meetings every year and produces a monthly newsletter and bird sightings report. It  also publishes the NarVOS Annual Report containing a systematic list of birds recorded in the area, a ringing report, reports or sightings of rare birds, a detailed summary of the weather during the year and a selection of related articles.

NarVOS meets at 7.30pm on the last Tuesday the month (except June and December). Indoor meetings are held at the Barn Theatre, Convent of the Sacred Heart, Sporle Road, Swaffham, PE37 7QW. There is a annual membership fee and visitors are welcome on payment of a £2 donation.
