The New Bridge Foundation

The Newbridge Foundation are looking for volunteers to befriend prisoners across the UK.

They have links with the prisons in Norfolk and the initial befriending begins with volunteers writing letters to the person in prison and then this may lead to personal visits. As we are aware volunteering is really good for the volunteer as it increases confidence and wellbeing and also contact for prisoners can sometimes reduce re-offending.

If the Newbridge Foundation receive a few more volunteers in Norfolk they will also help them set up a befriending support group, to support the volunteers. Enabling them to get together locally in Norfolk (at the moment they travel to London).
