Change Grow Live Norfolk Mentoring

Change Grow Live

Change Grow Live Norfolk Community Mentoring recruits and provides trained volunteers to work in the community across Norfolk providing 1-2-1 practical support and guidance to individuals identified as having substance misuse issues.

Volunteer Community Mentors will encourage and support individuals to feel more confident and empowered in taking responsibility for some of the challenges they are facing in overcoming their substance misuse.

Volunteers are matched with a mentee and each relationship will have its own pre-defined action plan to encourage, motivate and develop confidence whilst supporting the mentee to work towards small goals and make more positive choices for the future.

We would require you to commit to a timeframe of up to 5 months for volunteering and agree to weekly meetings of up to 2 hours with your mentee in their local community.

Change Grow Live offers all our volunteers full training, ongoing support and supervision.

We also have Hospital Liasion Mentor and Prison Mentor roles available. As a Hopsital Liaison Mentor you'd have the opportunity the help lift the spirits of a potentially lonely person in hospital, as well as encouraging them to engage with community services. A Prison Mentor you'd have a unique opportunity to help ex-offenders settle back in to the community and help them plan proactively for the future.

If this sounds like something you'd at all be interested in please email or call for an informal chat. We don't require qualifications, just an open mind and a passion for supporting people in the community,
