Volunteering at Age UK Norfolk

Age UK Norfolk truly values its community of volunteers. They make up over two thirds of the Age UK Norfolk team and many of the services the charity offers to support older people wouldn't exist if it wasn't for its diverse volunteers. Age UK Norfolk has a wide range of volunteering roles such as:

  • Telephone befrienders
  • Activities volunteers
  • Respite support volunteers
  • Information and advice advisers
  • Advocacy advisers
  • Trustees

If you’re looking to give something back to the community, develop new skills or just to socialise with others, there really is nothing stopping you. All Age UK Norfolk volunteers receive full training, all out-of-pocket expenses are reimbursed and roles are fully flexible to your diary.

Age UK Norfolk is a countywide, independent charitable organisation. It is part of a network of local Age UK charities, which works to improve the wellbeing of people in later life. Age UK Norfolk operates an advice helpline and also provides a range of other services for people in later life including information on:

  • Home help
  • Befriending
  • Dementia services
  • Care home finder

For free, confidential advice, call Age UK Norfolk’s advice telephone helpline, which is available daily Monday to Friday between 10:00am and 4.00pm (details available on the Age UK Norfolk website).
