Vacancy on North Runcton Parish Council

A request to hold an election to fill one vacancy on North Runcton Parish Council (North Runcton Ward) has been received.

The date of the parish council election (subject to a contest) has been fixed as Thursday 8 March 2018.

The Notice of Election will be published on Thursday 1 February 2018, and nomination papers must be received by the Returning Officer by 4pm on Friday 9 February 2018.

Anyone wishing to withdraw a nomination must do so in the prescribed manner by 4pm on Friday 9 February 2018.

The polling station, which will be open from 7am to 10pm, will be in The Village Meeting Place, The Green, North Runcton, King's Lynn PE33 0RB.

Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by Tuesday 20 February 2018.

Anyone unable to vote in person on that day, may be eligible for a postal or proxy vote – contact Electoral Services on (01553) 616773 for more information.

The deadline for applications to vote by post is 5pm on Wednesday 21 February 2018 (whether new or an amendment to an existing arrangement including postal proxies and proxies).

The deadline for new applications to vote by proxy is 5pm on Wednesday 28 February 2018 (or if an amendment to an existing arrangement, the form must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 21 February 2018).

The last day for receipt of emergency proxy vote applications on the grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons (if the emergency did not exist at 5pm on Wednesday 28 February 2018) is 5pm on Thursday 8 March 2018.

Postal votes will be despatched around Friday 23 February 2018.
