Norfolk Trading Standards are warning residents about telephone cold calls claiming that ‘you have paid too much council tax’.
This follows a report from a Norfolk resident regarding a call during which the cold caller stated the resident had ‘paid too much council tax’ and the caller could ‘arrange for a rebate to be paid’. The cold caller then attempted to gather personal and financial details from the call recipient.
