Mundford Village Hall
The Village Hall is owned and managed by the Mundford Recreation Ground & Village Hall Trust, registered charity number 279624.
The Charity was established by Trust Deed dated 16th January 1980. It holds the freehold land, known as The Glebe, now occupied by the Village Hall, Car Park, Children’s Play Area and Recreation Ground, consisting of approximately 8.8 acres.
The Trust, which is manned purely by volunteers, is established for the purposes of funding a recreation ground and village hall for the benefit of the inhabitants of Mundford and its immediate vicinity. To include use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation, these facilities are to improve and enhance the life of said inhabitants.
The Hall is available for hire by any individual or organisation in accordance with the standard hiring agreement and scale of charges adopted for the year. It is intended that the scale of charges be sufficient to generate enough income to meet the running costs of the Charity along with fund raising events helping to fund shortfalls.
The Management Committee is elected or appointed on an annual basis, with the Officers being elected from the membership of the Committee. The Annual General Meeting is usually held in June, with meetings held on the second Wednesday of each calendar month.
The Village Hall was built and fitted out in 1983 and officially opened in 1984.
